Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to receive help?
No. Most services do not require a referral. Some programs may ask for basic documentation to ensure we connect you with the right support.
Can I receive help more than once?
Yes. We understand that hard seasons can last longer than one visit. Assistance is based on need and available resources.
What should I bring?
If possible: photo ID, proof of address, and any relevant bills (utility shut-off notice, lease, etc.). Don’t stay away if you don’t have paperwork—come talk to us.
Is assistance only for Catholics?
Not at all. We serve neighbors of every faith—and no faith at all.
How quickly can I receive help?
Food and clothing are often same-day. Housing assistance timelines vary, but we move as fast as compassion and common sense allow.
Do you help with pets?
Yes. The Harnett Pet Food Pantry helps families keep their animals fed and at home.
