Most of us take for granted that home is a safe place. For Ellie and her four young children this was not the case. Domestic violence forced them to flee their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Finding sanctuary in a local women’s shelter, Ellie began seeking a safe, permanent home for her family. She signed a lease on an unfurnished apartment…but where would her children sleep or eat a meal?

Because of generous donors like you, we were able to provide all the items Ellie needed to turn her empty apartment into a safe home. SVdP provided kitchen items to prepare food, a table and chairs to share their meals, living room furniture, clothing, linens and new beds for all to comfortably sleep at night.
